While writing this comic the first thing that came to my mind was, who's kitchen is Mendiloquence using? Apparently I was alone in wondering that.

To be fair I figured he was using Baras' kitchen so I kinda just left it alone.

Actually that really annoys me I want kitchen stuff and bathroom stuff for my house because it should be there. (also, have you noticed there are like NO bathrooms in swtor? Even WOW had outhouses scattered around the world but in swtor I guess you just gotta hold it.) It would make my apartment seem fair more livable.

Also I like decorating my house. It's way more fun then it should be.

Slice is the correct in universe term.

To be fair, though, hacking wasn't a known thing back when George Lucas created Star Wars, and thus the term was not known to the public. However, Lucas wanted his creations to perform this action, so he came up with his own term.

A lot of games before computers were in every household had this; deckers from Shadowrun are essentially slicers from Star Wars, for example, even though the means are different.

To be honest I hadn't noticed this upon first reading the comic, but now that I do I'm kind of sad that she didn't go with the obvious play on words with their use of the word "hack" and the fact that the door was destroyed.

Shadowrun for the Sega Genesis was one of my favorite RPG games ever ever ever!

You are... likely very correct in that assessment.
